The union of diverse atmospheric phenomena threaten with letting rain, electric shocks, possible hailstorms and increase the probability of vortex formation between the night this Sunday and throughout Monday in Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, according to the Conagua climate forecast.
The agency explained that said weather conditions They will be caused by the interaction of a low pressure channel with the subtropical jet stream, divergence in height and the entry of moisture.
Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas will have intervals of showers with occasional heavy rains during this night of Sunday, as well as winds with maximum gusts of 60 to 80 km/h and possible formation of whirlwinds. In Chihuahua, winds with the same intensity and potential are expected, as well as intervals of showers.
The aforementioned phenomena will maintain the forecast of rains, showers, electric shocks and possible hail fall during this Monday in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, where the necessary conditions for the formation of whirlwinds will also be present. In these three states, rains will leave between 25 to 50 mm of water, while winds will reach maximum speeds between 50 to 70 km/h during the day. Likewise, maximum temperatures are expected between 40°C to 45°C.
It is worth mentioning that the Conagua extended the alert for possible formation of tornadoes or whirlwinds in the states of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas until Tuesday.
