Yesterday we had a presentation dedicated to Hogwarts Legacythe new game in the franchise Harry Potter. Undoubtedly, the new proposal for AvalancheSoftware looks like the ultimate experience that everyone potterheads We had been waiting for years, but the truth is that throughout its history, this saga has also had several other titles worth mentioning, and here we remember five of them.
Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup
We kicked off this list with Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup, a title that was not only an enjoyable experience of this popular franchise, but also a sports game that worked quite well on its own. Two decades after its release, this title still has a great control scheme, although the artificial intelligence does not usually offer a challenge, so we recommend playing with friends.
Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone
Harry Potter fans will surely remember The Sorcerer’s Stone, a game that debuted way back in 2001. That game allowed us to learn spells, collect different types of Flavor Beans, and solve different puzzles. It had a structure similar to that of The Legend of Zelda, but unfortunately, its console version was quite bad compared to the one that came out on PC.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Chamber of Secrets does what every good sequel should do; takes each of the sections of the first game and improves them substantially. The puzzles of this title and the boss fights are still quite memorable, although it is also true that it does not incorporate many new elements and follows a formula that risks practically nothing.
Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban
The original trilogy of EA games is almost perfect. Just when we thought that the next title after Chamber of Secrets could not be better, The Prizoner of Azkaban arrives to surprise us. Instead of just playing as Harry, the player could also control Ron and Hermione. This broadened the gameplay as certain characters had specific spells and abilities needed to progress through the story. Furthermore it was possible to ride Buckbeak to sail the world.
LEGO Harry Potter: The Collection
LEGO Harry Potter: The Collection is the ultimate collection for fans of this franchise. There are loads of things to do and puzzles to solve, plus the missions are really fun. The way that LEGO implemented the Wizarding World is simply amazing, and despite spanning all seven years of Harry Potter in one game, the story doesn’t feel rushed at all.
