Happy Birthday, Timothée Chalamet! The young actor turns 26 on December 27. ‘Timmy’ has had an incredible 2021, since he shared the screen with renowned performers, such as Leonardo DiCaprio. He was also a co-host of the MET Gala, and was even proposed by Tom Holland himself to play Harry Osborn. In honor of his birthday, we review seven milestones of the actor.
Timothée Chalamet surprises on the big and small screen
1. Timothée as Paul Atreides in Dune
Chalamet broke the locker with his starring in Dune. The science fiction film showed a spectacular performance of the young man in the role of Paul Atreides. He revealed that he read Frank Herbert’s novel in record time to get on the project.
Interestingly, a Twitter user took a photo of Timothée in 2018 that shows this enthusiasm. The postcard shows the actor reading the book on the New York subway.

2. Chalamet is a Netflix star
Chalamet was part of the impressive cast of Don’t look up, Netflix movie directed by Adam McKay. In the plot, the young actor shared the screen with Oscar winners Leonardo Di Caprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett.
3. Star of a nostalgic Cadillac commercial
The actor became the son of the legendary character Johnny Depp, Edward scissorhands, for the Super bowl. Along with Winona Ryder, he starred in a commercial for Cadillac. The ad wowed viewers with nostalgia, keeping the essence of the 90s film. Chalamet mimicked Depp’s mannerisms so well that fans began asking for a sequel to Young Scissorhands featuring the actor.
4. Becomes Willy Wonka
The Cadillac commercial isn’t the only time Chalamet pays homage to a Johnny Depp character. In 2021, it was announced that will play Willy Wonka, a character from the Roald Dahl books. The film will be a prequel to the story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed by Paul King.

5. Dazzle at the Met Gala
He was part of the most important night in the fashion world by being co-chair of the Met Gala 2021. He hit the red carpet on foot, sporting an all-white look. His suit was designed by Haider Ackermann, which generated controversy for having a diving suit. She also wore gray Converse sneakers and a vintage Cartier brooch.
6. His photographed lunch with Larry David
Timothée Chalamet would maintain a friendship with the legendary Larry David. Their relationship is strange, not only because of the age difference between the two (Chalamet was 25 and David 74), but also because it is known that the comedian does not like many people. He is rarely seen outside the home, so it is surprising that he was caught with the young actor having lunch in New York, sharing laughter with the interpreter of Elio in Call me by your name.
7. His enviable friendship with Zendaya
During the multiple interviews they gave to promote Dune, the two young actors showed their close relationship. When they spoke with the portal E! News, both declared that they will be “friends forever.” Chalamet has also claimed that working with Zendaya it was one of his favorite parts of the movie.
