The National Police has dismantled a criminal group of women trafficking that it has been investigating for several years and has released three Chinese women whom they sexually exploited in an apartment in Salamanca.
The searches and coordinated arrests of this operation took place on October 15, both in Salamanca and in a nearby town that the Police have not identified, and made it possible to bring down this network that deceived young women recruited in their country of origin.
The investigations began precisely after learning that Chinese women were being sexually exploited in that Salamanca apartment, facts for which two of those responsible have now been arrested, a 48-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman of Chinese nationality. responsible for the apartment, as perpetrators of a crime of trafficking in human beings for the purposes of sexual exploitation.
The operation is still underway so new arrests are not ruled out, as reported by the Police in a press release.
The victims, all of Chinese origin, were recruited in their countries of origin by the main investigator of the network, taking advantage of the economic precariousness in which they lived and organizing their travel and covering their expenses.
Upon arriving in Spain, they were taken to the apartment in Salamanca, where their passports were taken away and they were informed that they had incurred a financial debt that they had to pay off through the practice of prostitution.
“Treated like slaves”
The women “lived in abusive conditions and were treated like slaves,” since they had to be available at any time, they barely went outside and, if they did, they had to be accompanied by a member of the organization.
They were monitored at all times through surveillance cameras installed in the home in all rooms and the services were offered through advertisements on sexual contact websites and also in the written press, “where they were advertised as contacts with oriental, Japanese or Korean women.” and only on rare occasions as Chinese women.”
The main person investigated was the one who controlled the sexual services of the women who lived in the apartment, whom she forced to consume drugs, and she was the one who responded to client requests received through telephone calls or through an instant messaging application. EFE
