ReviewOur film editors will guide you through the current range. What must you see and why? From today in the cinema: the horror film smile.
It may be a lame observation, but being able to appreciate smile depends a lot on the amount of horror you’ve already survived. Fans especially see that there is eagerly borrowed from modern genre classics such as The Ring and It Follows. Scary greens, on the other hand, are waiting for a haunted house ride.
After the bizarre suicide of a patient (she cuts her throat laughing), psychiatrist Rose is plagued by inexplicable and unpleasant scenes that only she seems to perceive.
This hysterical and rather stretched film by debutant Parker Finn seems to want to tell something sensible about trauma processing between the lines, but is more interested in scaring the viewer as effectively as possible. And to be honest, there is smile particularly good at. Although a bit of horror freak will claim to have seen it all a hundred times before.
Directed by: Parker Finn. Starring: Sosie Bacon, Jessie T. Usher and Kyle Gallner
