The newborn All Music Works presents itself as the first record company in Spain (and perhaps in the world) exclusively composed of artists that have been produced entirely with artificial intelligence (AI).
“At All Music Works we don’t just follow the rules, we rewrite them. “We are a creative collective, a record label and a music production studio, but, above all, we are pioneers in the integration of artificial intelligence in music,” says the company in a manifesto published on their website. “This is our motto: technology is not just a tool; It is a creative force. “We believe in the convergence of human and technological elements to transform the music industry.”
There is no doubt that All Music Works productions do not sound like those clumsy compositions that generative AI was throwing out in 2023. Not only are they digestible, but many are, in fact, artistically and commercially interesting. The EP tracks Elevator to Nowhere by Motel Loïc, full of funk, would make everyone dance in a club and their origin would go perfectly unnoticed. The disk Looking for Answers by The Good Dogwith a clear inspiration from the Arctic Monkeys, sounds like an indie rock that you could hear right now when you enter any store. It had to happen. We’re already here.
Neither Motel Loïc nor The Good Dog have counterparts in the physical world. All Music Works artists have entries made up of photographs, trajectories and, of course, musical pieces, yes, but everything is generated with AI. “Alma Brava, from Spain (Barcelona), is a sensitive and poetic soul who has known how to capture the essence of everyday life and its experiences through her songs. “His music, a charming fusion of alternative pop, Spanish folklore and Latin rhythms, is both a reflection of his cultural heritage and an expression of his modern worldview,” reads one such profile. Alma Brava, of course, is also a product of artificial intelligence.
