In October 2020 it was revealed that the former offices of Nintendo in Japan they would be converted into a hotel. For almost two years we did not have much information about this project, but as of today, April 1, 2022, all those interested can now stay in these facilities. Thus, A number of images have been revealed that give us a great look at this hotel.
The hotel, known as Marufukuro, not only offers a first-class stay, but also does Nintendo an honor. Hanafuda letters adorn the walls, and various antiques are found in the rooms. There is also a library called “DNA”, celebrating the history of Nintendocomplete with a Famicom and digital screens displaying hanafuda cards.
Marufukuro has 18 rooms, including seven suites, and one of the buildings is the former home of the Yamauchi family, who were the presidents of Nintendo from its inception, until Satoru Iwata took over the reins of the company. Reservations start at ¥100,000 yen, about $822, per night, but full service is included, meaning breakfast, lunch and dinner.
On related topics, a new physical game is coming to the 3DS this year. Similarly, children can sue Nintendo for the drift.
Editor’s Note:
Although the price sounds very high for a hotel, the experience of staying overnight in the old Nintendo facilities sounds interesting. If I ever go to Japan, at least I have to go to this place to eat, staying the night would already be out of my budget.
