“The result of my medical examination is very good,” Biden told reporters, leaving Walter Reed Hospital, near Washington, at about 19:05 GMT.
And the White House announced that Joe Biden resumed his presidential duties, Friday, after handing it over for a short period to his Vice President, Kamala Harris, because he was undergoing a “routine” endoscopic examination on the intestine.
A spokeswoman wrote US Presidency Jen Psaki on Twitter that the president, who underwent a “routine” bowel endoscopy, spoke to Harris and his chief of staff “at about 11:35 this morning.”
She added, “He was in good condition and resumed his duties at that moment.”
This examination aims to detect any abnormalities in the colon, and forms part of the first medical examination for the president, who celebrates his 79th birthday Saturday.
