At only 21 years old, José Luis Huertas, better known as Alcasec, is possibly the most famous hacker in Spain. And in recent years his name has been in the news on more than one occasion and unfortunately not exactly for good things. It was at the end of last year that he was arrested for supposedly having the data of 90% of Spaniards in databases that he was going to sell on the Dark Web, and since then the Police have not taken their eyes off him.
Considered the most dangerous and undetectable hacker in the country, in May of this year he was arrested again for his relationship with the cyberattack that led to the theft of data from the Judicial Neutral Point (PNJ), although he had supposedly changed and wanted to found his own company. cybersecurity.
Since then we had not heard from him again, until this week The Police have arrested him in the center of Madrid, with a BMW valued at 128,000 euros for driving at high speed. But his problems have not stopped at a simple fine and withdrawal of points, but when he asked for his driving license, the agents detected anomalies.
It turns out that It was a false card that had been issued by the samealong with many other cards that he supposedly distributed among his friends such as Little Nicolás, during one of his cyber attacks on the DGTas the Prosecutor’s Office accused him (although the investigation and trial are going much slower than expected) and Therefore it has not been officially confirmed.
Even so, it is not the first time that Alcasec has been arrested for reckless driving and Despite being certain that this card is not official, the DGT has not yet withdrawn it, something truly surprising. The only thing they have done has been add a file to this document with a “negative incident annotation”they collect from El Mundo, which means that when an agent checks it they get a notice so they know that there are suspicions of illegality of the card.
From the organization, they defend themselves by pointing out that They are following the legal process and cannot cancel this card until Justice determines whether the accusations are true or not through a report from the Council of State. “This is how guaranteeing the administrative process is,” the DGT laments.
For that reason, Both Alcasec and the rest of the people to whom he gave this license continue driving on the roads of our country with total impunity. while his case remains stuck in the bureaucracy of the judicial system.
