In the midst of all the controversies surrounding Blizzard, the studio has not only promised to make a number of internal changes, but also some aspects of its games have been tweaked. One of the most striking was a new name for McCree in Overwatch. Thus, the developers have finally revealed this information.
Through a statement, it has been stated that McCree will be known as Cole Cassidy from October 26. This was what was commented on the matter:
“The first thing a renegade loses is his name, and he gave up his a long time ago.
Running away from his past meant running away from himself, and each passing year only widened the gap between who he had been and what he had become. But in every cowboy’s life, there comes a time when he has to stop and take a stand.
To improve this new Overwatch, to get it right, he had to be honest with his team and with himself. The cowboy that he was rode into the sunset, and Cole Cassidy faced the world at dawn. “
Meet Cole Cassidy.

It seems that this will be the only change of its kind for Overwatch, and when the sequel is available in the future, There will no longer be a single trace of McCree, only Cole Cassidy. On related issues, Blizzard has laid off more than 20 employees. Similarly, the studio could be working on an online shooter with RPG elements.
Editor’s Note:
As mentioned above, these kinds of changes are welcome, but they don’t fix the real problem that’s happening at Blizzard. Although several measures have already been carried out, this does not mean that things are improving. This is a long process.
