Initially, the airline that would fly to Colombia was the state-owned Conviasa, but US sanctions prevent the air operation from being carried out. On the Colombian side, Wingo was ready, but after the ban on Conviasa, the inaugural flight, which would take place on October 4, was not completed.
This Friday, the president of the Venezuelan company Turpial Airlines, Pedro Cestari, said on the radio of that country, that “next Monday, November 7, commercial operations will begin on the Caracas-Bogotá and Bogotá-Caracas routes, with two weekly frequencies. : Mondays and Saturdays“.
Apparently the costs of the tickets will be around 390 dollars. However, when entering the Turpial website, the route is not yet available.
“We hope that between 30 and 40 days, other Venezuelan airlines can be incorporated into commercial air operations with Colombia,” Cestari said on the radio.
