Lifeguards pull him out of the water unconscious and perform resuscitation maneuvers
A 77-year-old man had to be rescued this Tuesday morning after suffering from immersion syndrome when he was on Las Palmeras beach, in Los Narejos, within the municipality of Los Alcázares.
The Emergency Coordination Center of the Region of Murcia 112 received, at 11:25 a.m., the notice from the lifeguards on the beach, who reported that they had rescued an unconscious bather and that they were beginning to perform resuscitation maneuvers on him.
An ambulance and health workers from the Emergency and Civil Protection Service of the Los Alcázares City Council and a Mobile Emergency Unit (UME) with health personnel from the Emergency and Health Emergencies Management 061 were mobilized to the scene.
After being stabilized by the toilets, the man was transferred by the UME to the Los Arcos del Mar Menor hospital, in San Javier.
