The general secretary of UGT in Cantabria, Mariano Carmona, has criticized the behavior of the ‘popular’ advisors of Education, Sergio Silva; of Tourism, Luis Martínez Abad, and of Health, César Pascual, who when negotiating “do not know how to keep the forms,” he said.
This is what Carmona expressed in statements to RNE collected by Europa Pressin which he regretted that these public officials are “continually attacking, despising and ignoring the other party.”
Furthermore, in his opinion, this behavior is “a big problem that the Government has”, since “if you govern as a minority you cannot boast as if you had an absolute majority.”
Precisely, these three councilors have open fronts for negotiation or union criticism. In the case of Silva, with the Teaching Personnel Board that continues its confinement at the Government headquarters in Peña Herbosa to achieve a salary increase for teachers.
Meanwhile, in the Tourism area, Martínez Abad has faced protests from the workers of the public company Cantur after the awarding of the Alto Campoo hospitality services to the company SNÖ Hoteles; and in Health, Pascual faces criticism of his health management or the ambulance strike, among others.
On the other hand, and in relation to economic issues, Carmona has highlighted the Llano de La Pasiega project for which he has advocated “with or without” an intermodal station, since it will be a “tractor” for the economy of Cantabria, he stated.
