Ciudad Juarez.- The Business Coordinating Council (CCE) of Ciudad Juárez failed to deliver the document it prepared for President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum during their recent visit to the regional hospital in the city.
Isela Molina, president of the CCE, explained that the document was not delivered because the activities were carried out “totally behind closed doors” and without the direct participation of the Council, which prevented them from communicating effectively with the president.
He added that the document contained a series of requests for the full operation of the hospital, which is seen as an essential work for the community. Among the most urgent requests was the importance of its complete completion.
“This was not achieved because they were completely behind closed doors, and the CCE was not required either; however, we are waiting for the inauguration where Dr. Sheinbaum will come, and basically this petition calls for the proper functioning of the hospital,” he stated.

Molina stressed that although the hospital has already begun to operate, it is not yet in a position to offer all the specialized medical services that the population of Ciudad Juárez needs, mainly because it does not have the specialists and they are working to attract them.
“A call was launched to recruit specialized personnel for the hospital and business organizations have been working on an incentive for them to come to Juárez to work (…) Among the attractions are better salaries for doctors and other personnel,” he said.
The president also stressed that business owners and employers in Ciudad Juárez are very interested in seeing this project fulfill its objective of improving the quality of life in the region. She asserted that the CCE has not lost hope that their requests will be met.
“We continue to strengthen the citizen council and it is worth mentioning that this project was promoted by the businessmen and employers of Ciudad Juárez. We are all very interested in making this work; it is already open, but it needs to be 100 percent operational,” he stressed.
