Recently, the magazine Forbes has published the list of richest women in the entire country. In this prestigious ranking there are already known names and others who are making their debut for the first time. However, the increase in the wealth of these 100 personalities is striking.
Of the 47,000 million euros in 2023, the global assets of these figures has grown more than 6,000 million until reaching 53,065. Among the more than 10 billionaires who control almost half of the assets, one figure stands out above all: Sandra Ortega.
the daughter of Amancio Ortega and second shareholder of the textile giant Inditexonce again tops the first rank, and second at the national level, with a heritage that already reaches 10.4 billion euros. Behind, in second place, appears the sister of another Spanish magnate, María del Pino, the second largest shareholder of the infrastructure company Ferrovial, occupying the seventh place nationally. Thanks to this, its assets now reach 3.2 billion euros. The podium is completed by Hortensia Herrero, vice president, director and shareholder of Mercadona, with a fortune of 3.2 billion euros.
The richest women in Andalusia
The rest of the list is made up of a multitude of women associated with large companies such as Mercadona, Coca-Cola, Ocaso, El Corte Inglés or Acciona. Many of them owe their fortune to large families, among which are several from Andalusia.
In position number 17 appears Carmen Ybarra Careagaleader of the Onchena group, and whose fortune reaches 600 million euros. Behind, in thirty-first place, is Concha Yoldi, heiress of one of the detergent companies best known in the country: Persán. His fortune amounts to 335 million.
A little further down, in position number 40, is Ana Bohórquez, the owner of the Cortijo la Peñuela and associated with Angustias y Sol and Viscofan. Thus, his assets in this new year amount to 320 million euros. Completing the list of this community is Silvia Mora Figueroa Domeq, with a fortune of 150 million euros thanks to Agriculturas Diversas.
