During pregnancy it is essential to take care of your diet and do physical exercise to promote both your health and that of your child
During pregnancy it is vitally important to maintain healthy habits. It is essential to take care of your diet and do physical exercise to promote both your health and that of your child. The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan) points out that you should avoid the consumption of certain foods to prevent risks that, although rare, can have negative consequences for the fetus or pregnant woman.
You should take some precautions when cooking food. The body attached to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs advises that you pay close attention to the labeling when you make the purchase; fully cook meat and fish; follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using the microwave; and take only food supplements that have been prescribed by your doctor. As for the leftovers, you should refrigerate them or as soon as possible, they should not be more than 2 hours at room temperature. Before consumption, make sure to heat them to a high temperature.
Aesan also points out that attention must also be paid to basic hygiene measures: washing hands before handling any product, as well as utensils, or proper food storage.
The foods and drinks that you should avoid, according to the Aesan

– Raw sprouts (soy, alfalfa…).
– Raw eggs or preparations made with raw eggs (homemade sauces and mayonnaise, mousses, meringues and homemade cakes, tiramisu, homemade ice cream, eggnog…). Raw meat (carpaccios, steak tartare,…) or undercooked.
