Genoa – An evening of music and entertainment to welcome 2022 with hope and optimism and escape from the worries (or at least limit them) for the Covid-19 pandemic, in the second New Year marked by restrictions and rules to be respected to curb contagions. This is the goal of “The Year that will come”, the Rai Uno show that on the evening of December 31, live from the Terni steelworks, a symbolic place of work and restart, will accompany viewers towards the new year. “Television is a dream: we must give an evening that distracts the public from the concerns we are experiencing”, declared during the Amadeus presentation press conference, at the conduct of the 19th edition of the traditional television event broadcast from 9pm, immediately after. the traditional end-of-year message from the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.
“In a difficult period it is important to accompany the Italians with a share of lightness and evasion. In these two years the page we live in is very complicated. Amadeus, which will offer entertainment made up of many elements, in his career at Rai has shown that he knows how to combine memory with the present but also with the future “, added Stefano Coletta, director of Rai1.
A musical marathon that, addressing a heterogeneous audience ranging from young to old, will welcome on stage a diverse cast of artists formed by Massimo Ranieri, Umberto Tozzi, Loredana Bertè, Achille Lauro, Cristiano Malgioglio, Orietta Berti, Raf, Gigi D’Alessio, Clementino, Rkomi, Donatella Rettore, Nek, Fausto Leali, the Guidonia twins, Alba Parietti, Los Locos , Corona, Edoardo Vianello while to please the little ones there will be the protagonists of the successful Rai YoYo animated television series “Pinocchio & Friends”. Among the guests who will accompany Amadeus, also the actress and imitator Emanuela Aureli who will guide the public to discover the most evocative places in her Umbria.
“It will be an event dedicated to friendship, music, comedy, all those elements that entertainment must contain”, continued Coletta, underlining the willingness to do public service keeping the Italians company by offering “a transversal show for all generations. We must speak to young people but also to the traditional Rai1 audience, building a lineup that speaks to everyone, and accompanies this passage in the lightest way”.
