On the weekend of April 6 and 7, warming is expected in Moscow – on Sunday the air will warm up to 14 degrees Celsius. Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, told Izvestia about this.
He noted that today, April 5, is the coldest day since the beginning of the month. The air temperature at night was –2…–4 degrees, and during the day it was predicted to be around +5…+7.
“But from Saturday a gradual increase in temperature will begin. The wind changes from southeast to west, southwest, and light rain is possible. By Sunday the temperature rises to +14 degrees, no precipitation is expected that day,” Shuvalov said.
Mostly cloudy weather without strong winds is forecast for the weekend, he said.
“Even warmer weather awaits us early next week, with temperatures expected to reach 18 degrees,” the forecaster added.
On April 3, bad weather hit the capital, which was accompanied by temperature changes and strong winds. Its gusts exceeded 21 m/s. An emergency warning was issued. Due to bad weather, parks were closed and city services were put on high alert. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported two dead and 15 injured. The next day, an emergency services representative said that a total of 16 people were hospitalized.
