The Venezuelan Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino Lopezpublished a video on his Twitter account in which he assures that he will meet with his Colombian counterpart, Iván Velásquez, to talk about the reopening of the border between the two countries, which is scheduled for this Monday, September 26.

In the video, Padrino appears touring the Simón Bolívar International Bridge and says that he will meet with the Colombian Minister of Defense to “talk about all the necessary issues for the reconstruction of trust, and of the peace border”.

For its part, the Colombian Ministry of Defense reported through its Twitter account that Velásquez is heading to the state of Tachira “where he will hold a meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart to address issues related to the opening of the border between the two countries.”
