To make the right decision to suspend the classes by the DANA on October 29, the University of Valencia (UV) “did not have more information than any institution that remained attentive to the notices of public bodies.” This is indicated by Justo Herrera, coordinator of the Emergency Committee of the UV and Vice -Rector of Economics and Infrastructure in a report sent by the academic institution to the instructor judge of the DANA case.
The magistrate, who already has the report in her hands, seeks to compare the university’s performance with the management of the Emergency Department of the Generalitat Valenciana, whose owner on the day of the DANA, the then Department Salome Pradas, appears as investigated in the case together with her number two, the regional secretary Emilio Argüeso.
The report, to which Eldiario.es has had access, is a hard blow to the Consell. The UV ensures that it managed the public information generated by the “competent institutions in the subjects object of the emergency” and explicitly cites the “notices” of the AEMET and the Valencian Agency of Security and Response to the emergencies of the Generalitat Valenciana. “It didn’t have more information than that,” he adds.
The eve of the Dana
The UV was already attentive to the aemet alerts and the Generalitat since Sunday, October 27. The contrast to Mazón’s performance
