He stressed the need for the Israeli authorities to commit to facilitating the safe transportation and delivery of humanitarian supplies from Egypt entering the Kerem Shalom crossing to those in need, stressing the importance of opening all crossing points, in line with Security Council Resolution 2720 (2023), and for humanitarian organizations to have full and safe access. and without hindrance to all civilians in need throughout the Gaza Strip.
The Secretary-General renewed his call for an immediate ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, expressing his concern about the failure to implement the recent orders issued by the International Court of Justice regarding the situation in Gaza, which he stressed are binding.
