Some methods to eliminate these encrustations and leave your toilet as new
There is no more unpleasant task than cleaning the toilet in your bathroom. For the maintenance of your home to be optimal, you also have to clean this object regularly. Surely it has happened to more than one that a brown stain has begun to form in the toilet bowl that is very difficult to clean.
No matter how much you try with a cleaner or with the brush, the stain does not disappear. Especially in municipalities where there is strong water, with a lot of lime and sediment, this type of scale forms easily and leaves a very unpleasant trace. This kind of crust is formed by the accumulation of dissolved minerals in the water. The stronger the water, the more solid residue it will leave behind. Those who are fed up with seeing this scale in their toilet should know about several methods that will help remove brown stains.
How to get rid of brown spots
1. Vinegar and baking soda
First you must spray a good amount of vinegar on the brown stains of the cup, which are very impregnated. Then, sprinkle baking soda on the wet vinegar stains and pour vinegar again on the baking soda, leave it to act for 10 or 15 minutes.
Scrub the surface where the wet baking soda is with an old toothbrush or toilet brush, as if you were exfoliating it. Let it rest for half an hour without rinsing and rub again with the brush. Finally, flush the toilet and if the stains don’t come out completely, repeat the steps.
2. Citric acid powder
Do not use this method if your toilet flushes into a septic tank.
You can rinse the parts of the cup that have stains. Spray a little water on the stains and then sprinkle the powdered citric acid, covering the entire area of the stain. Let it act all night. The next day, scrub everything down with a toilet brush or an old toothbrush. Flush the chain and rinse everything.
3. Pumice stone
You can also use the pumice stone to remove these stains. If you are going to use this resource you must do it very carefully, because if you go too far you can scratch the enamel of the toilet bowl. Don’t use this trick with marble, laminate, plastic, or fiberglass mugs.
If you have a porcelain mug and you have no other options left to try, use this method making sure that both the stone and the surface you will rub are wet until the stains come out. Then rinse and flush.
