HE Acapulco TOURIST TIANGUIS 2024 was of great importance for the tourist industryboth nationally and internationally.
The numbers reported by the Ministry of Tourismby Miguel Torruco, show that there were 35,748 quotes from business made by 1,115 buyers and 833 companiesand a volume of sales for 438 million pesos.
They participated 43 countries and the distribution of buyers, with 63.1% national and 36.9% international, reflect the strong support and commitment of the tourist industry with the beaten Acapulco.
During the Tianguis week, an increase of 13.2% was recorded in hotel occupancyreaching 79.6% of occupation.
Along with a consumption lodging of 73.2 million pesos and a consumption for tourist services of 938 million pesos, underlines the significant economic impact of the event.
Regarding tourism products, the cultural tourism led with 49%, closely followed by nature tourism, with 43%, and adventure tourism with 41%.
The most preferred tourist destinations were Cancun with 49%, Acapulco and the CDMXeach with 46%, and Los Cabos with 43%.
The Tianguis Turístico México 2024 proved to be a successful event that has strengthened trade relations, boosted the local economy and highlighted the diversity and attractiveness of Mexico's tourist destinations.
However, it is important to remember that these results are only a snapshot of a particular event and that continued success will depend on the industry's ability to adapt and respond to changing tourist demands and expectations.
But for now, the Tianguis was possible due to the joint effort of the government of the state of Guerrero headed by Evelyn Salgado, the tourism service providers and the federal government.
