WILD, the game announced in 2014, is no longer an active project by its development team: Wild Sheep Studio, who is however currently working on something new.
It was announced in 2014 WILDan open-world action game where we would have to play the role of a sort of shaman capable of transforming into various animals. The project had attracted the attention of the public but over the years there have been no novelty.
Now, it is officially stated that the development team – Wild Sheep Studio – is no longer actively working on WILD.
Commentary from Wild Sheep Studio’s creative director
The information comes from Steven ter Heidecreative director at Wild Sheep Studio. The man responded to a user on Twitter who asked if WILD was still alive. Heide wrote: “Unfortunately, all I can say is that we are no longer actively working on it.” In other words, the project is still in their hands but has been abandoned.
According to the Wild Sheep Studio website, the team is composed of 16 people and is based in Montpellier, France. The team says they “love to create games filled with positivity, memorable characters and believable worlds.”
“Always driven by Celine Tellier, former Ubisoftthe studio now only has 16 people, but has been strengthened by the creative director Steven ter Heide, already producer and director of the Killzone franchise, and Fabien Delpiano as technical director. Delpiano, founder of Pastagames, was in fact already a partner of Wild Sheep Studio at the time of Wild, which was based on the internal Pastagames engine.”
We have no information about the new project by Wild Sheep Studio led by Steven ter Heide.
