The regional deputy of PSOE Miguel Ortega is one of the two injured in the accident which took place this Tuesday morning on the A-30 highway, at kilometer 161, in the municipality of Murcia, when the vehicle he was driving was hit by another one traveling in the opposite direction.
As confirmed by socialist sources consulted by Europa Press, the deputy, who suffered the impact while driving towards the Regional Assembly in Cartagena, has been transferred to the Virgen de la Arrixaca university hospital in Murcia.
The ‘1-1-2’ has received, since 9:04 a.m., up to 45 calls alerting that a car was traveling in the opposite direction on the A-30 highway, between Cartagena and Murcia, according to sources from the Emergency Coordination Center.
The callers have seen the vehicle traveling in the direction of Murcia on the road that runs towards Cartagena. At 9:10 a.m., the Single Emergency Telephone received several notices informing of the frontal collision of two passenger cars.
Firefighters from the Fire Fighting and Rescue Service of the Murcia City Council have been mobilized to the scene, whose intervention has not been necessary because the occupants have managed to get out of the vehicles, members of the Civil Guard and two ambulances with toilets from the Emergency Management. and Health Emergencies 061.
After being stabilized, the injured, aged 23 and 31, have been transferred by ambulances from 061 to Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital from Murcia.
