The social network suspended the account that the supreme leader of Iran, Ali Khameneihad opened in Hebrew last Saturday, according to the Israeli press early this Monday.
The account @Khamenei_Heb appears with a brief suspension notice for having broken X’s rules.
The suspension came just hours after Iran’s supreme leader sent over that network a message in Hebrew referring to the attack that Israel carried out against Iranian military bases last Saturday, according to the newspaper The Times of Israel.
“They (the Israelis) are making a miscalculation regarding Iran. They don’t know Iran and to young Iranians. They do not know the nation of Iran. They have not yet been able to properly understand the power, capacity, initiative and the determination of the people of Iran. We must make them understand that,” said Khamenei.
Iran’s Armed Forces downplayed the Tel Aviv offensive, saying that Iranian air defenses acted adequately and that Israeli missiles caused only “limited, low-impact damage” to some radars.
However, andThe Iranian Army itself confirmed the death of four soldiers in Israel’s attacks against Iran’s air defense and radar systems in the provinces of Ilam, Khuzestan and Tehran.
Israel, in turn, described as “precise” its bombings that responded to the launch of 180 missiles by the Persian country against Israeli territory on October 1, operations called ‘true promise 2’.
This Iranian attack was a response to the assassination of the leader of the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah, Hasan Nasrallah, in Beirut, and the leader of the Palestinian militia Hamas, Ismael Haniyeh, in the Iranian capital in July, both factions backed by Iran.
The exchange of fire could continuesince the Iranian authorities claim to reserve the right to counterattack, based on the inherent right of self-defense, which is reflected in Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
