It will hire a support service to carry out a diagnosis of the work and training programs of the last five years
The Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), “in its commitment to promoting equal opportunities between men and women in access to employment,” has opened the bidding process to hire a support service for the identification of occupations or sectors in which situations of gender bias are perceived. The contracting of this service is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, promoted by European funds ‘Next Generation’.
The purpose of this service will be to support the SEF in “integrating gender mainstreaming in active employment policies and in adopting measures and carrying out actions to reinforce real and effective equality between women and men.”
For this, the winning company will have to develop a first phase, consisting of the preparation of a diagnostic report based on the experience of calls and programs, both employment and training for employment, executed in the last five years by the Service of Employment and Training.
Carrying out this diagnosis will provide information that enables the identification of strengths and opportunities for improvement to design an intervention, from a gender perspective, adapted to the reality of the services, programs and actions that have been carried out.
The general director of the SEF, Marisa López, pointed out that «obtaining this x-ray of the current situation of gender equality in the workplace in the Region will provide us with very useful information when implementing new actions and projects that promote equal opportunities in the workplace in the Region of Murcia ». Companies interested in developing this technical advisory service have until January 10, 2022 to request it through the electronic headquarters of the Autonomous Community.
The SEF already tested a questionnaire a few years ago in several companies in the Murcia Science Park that serves to end the selection processes that discriminate by gender. It was in one of the phases of the European project ‘Geneus’, in which the SEF and five other entities of the European Union participated.
