Residents of Russia were warned about the activation of swindlers during non-working days. Writes about it “Evening Moscow” with reference to the head of one of the directions of the company “Rostelecom-Solar” Peter Kutsenko.
“Given the growth in the number of private investors in Russia and the general interest in financial growth, the most common schemes will be associated with investments in the stock market and crypto exchanges with a supposedly guaranteed quick income,” he explained. According to the expert, the scammers are trying in every possible way to persuade their victims to visit the fake website. Attackers send call emails, make phone calls, display advertisements, and use other tricks.
If a person goes to the site, he is offered to open a brokerage account or a crypto wallet to transfer funds. To do this, you need to provide access to other accounts, including online wallets. After a person replenishes the balance, the money automatically goes to the scammers’ account. “A deception is revealed when a user wants to withdraw funds, but he cannot do it,” Kutsenko summed up, advising Russians to be more attentive to information on the network.
Earlier, in three months, a successful Moscow programmer lost two apartments and all savings. Believing the scammers, the gullible Muscovite gave them his real estate and about 20 million rubles.
