The Russian Ambassador spoke about the attitude of the new Serbian government to sanctions

Ambassador Bocan-Kharchenko: the new government of Serbia will continue to withdraw sanctions against Russia

The new government of Serbia will continue the rejection of anti-Russian sanctions. This opinion in conversation with RIA News expressed the Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.

The diplomat pointed out that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called the new cabinet headed by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic the government of succession. According to the ambassador, there are no hints in the statements of the newly appointed ministers that the Serbian approach to sanctions against Russia has changed. “We proceed from the fact that the line on the rejection of anti-Russian restrictions, fixed in February by the President and the National Security Council of Serbia, remains,” Botan-Kharchenko concluded.

On October 26, Vucic approved the new government of the republic. The government included First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali.

Earlier, the President of Serbia said that the country is trying with all its might to prevent Western countries from blaming Russia for violations of international law. He also pointed out that the West somehow itself violated the UN Charter and all resolutions regarding Serbia.
