Konami has released a short but intense Return to Silent Hill trailerthe new film that adapts the events of Silent Hill 2 for the big screen, written and directed by Christophe Gans, who had already worked on the 2006 film adaptation.
In the video we can see a mix of sequences, from the arrival of James Sunderland in the unwelcoming Silent Hill, the encounter with various characters and with some of the horrifying creatures that video game fans know all too well, such as the nurses and the menacing Pyramid Head.
What we know about the film
For the moment, details on Return to Silent Hill are sparse. The film was officially presented in October 2022, with the involvement of producer Victor Hadida, who had also worked on the previous film.
Director Christophe Ganes has reported that Return to Silent Hill will be faithful to the events of the original game and at the same time re-presenting them with a modern interpretation. We also know what the cast will include Jeremy Irvine and Hannah Emily Andersonwho respectively play the main protagonist of the story and his missing wife.
For the moment the film does not yet have a release date, not even an indicative one. On the other hand, fans of the series will be able to while away the wait with the remake of Silent Hill 2 of which yesterday we saw a long gameplay trailer of over 13 minutes. The game will be available from October 8th on PS5 and PC, with pre-orders of the standard and deluxe editions already available.
