The mayor receives “grateful” and with “excitement” the distinctive medal of the Resurrected from the hands of her older sister, Marién García Boj
The Brotherhood of the Risen One celebrates its most important liturgical act tonight, the Resurrexit, which this year will be presided over by the Vicar General, Juan Tudela. The ceremony will begin at 8:45 p.m. in the church of Santa María de Gracia. The Carthagonova Choir Mass will sing in different phases of the act and the Cartagonova Musical Union will perform processional marches characteristic of Easter Sunday at the beginning and at the end. Previously, brothers from the escort section of the Resurrected will parade through the streets closest to the temple on Calle del Aire announcing the start of this ceremony.
It is the act that paves the way for the rest of the celebrations of the brotherhoods ahead of Holy Week in Cartagena. Authorities, military commanders and the older brothers of the rest of the brotherhoods will attend. The intention of the brotherhood is to recover normality in the act, after the restrictions of last year.
The mayor will attend, Noelia Arroyo, who yesterday received the older sister of the brotherhood, Marién García Boj, after her recent election to this position. The councilor will premiere the distinctive medal of the Resurrected, which she received from García Boj with “great enthusiasm” and very “grateful.”
To show off in all acts
“We want the mayor to be able to wear it in all the acts in which she accompanies us and that the medal of Our Father Jesus Resurrected is represented on her neck,” added the older sister.
