Odnoklassniki: Teacher’s Day is the most popular professional holiday
Teacher’s Day, Teacher’s Day and Medical Worker’s Day turned out to be the most popular professional holidays among Russian users of Odnoklassniki (OK), according to a press release received by Lente.ru.
OK analysts studied which holidays were celebrated most on the social network from October 2022 to September 2023, studying data on which holidays were indicated as personal by social network users in their profiles. Teachers’ Day (October 5) was in first place, followed by Teachers’ and All Preschool Workers’ Day (September 27), and Medical Worker’s Day (third Sunday in June) in third place.
“When people celebrate a professional date, they are celebrating one of their social roles or identities. In this case – career. The holiday provides an opportunity to once again answer the question “Who am I?” That is, to establish yourself in this identity,” noted clinical psychologist Daria Yausheva.
Also in the top 10 were Builder’s Day, Railway Worker’s Day, Trade Worker’s Day, Lawyer’s Day, Radio Day, Financier’s Day and Firefighter’s Day. Least of all, Russians celebrated Economist’s Day, Geographer’s Day and Archaeologist’s Day.
Earlier in Russia they wanted to approve a new holiday on the birthday of the country’s President Vladimir Putin. The idea belongs to the head of the Association of Entrepreneurs for the Development of Business Patriotism “Avanti” Rakhman Yansukov.
