The Socialist Group in the Murcia City Council warned this Monday that the 2024 Budget relies on all new investments on the sale of municipal plots, which the municipal executive estimates at 17 million euros; income that must be produced in the remainder of the year.
Ginés Ruiz questioned whether this figure could be achieved “as the municipal Intervention also says in its report, and that if it will be achieved “it will be in charge of decapitalizing” the properties of the City Council.
The socialists also criticized the income from the increase in taxes and fees included in the municipal accounts for 2024, estimated at more than 31 million euros; draft Budgets that have just passed through the Plenary Committee on Development, Mobility, Economic Management and General Affairs, and have been approved with the votes of the PP and against PSOE and Vox. The accounts will be debated in the plenary session this Thursday.
