The rally in the Georgian capital Tbilisi against the law on foreign agents has ended. The correspondent reported this TASS.
The leaders of the protest movement left the Government House. A small group of activists remain in place. Police officers also continue to be on duty.
On the evening of April 17, protesters decided to go to the Government House and meet with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. They intended to ask the politician to withdraw the bill.
Police met the protesters at the scene. A clash occurred between the parties.
The protesters later issued an ultimatum to the authorities, giving them one hour to withdraw the bill on foreign agents.
Earlier, Prime Minister of the Republic Irakli Kobakhidze said that, despite international criticism, the authorities do not intend to abandon the law on foreign agents.
