Judge Mariano Gascón and Judge José Grau participate in ISEN University Center in a forum of jurists
The presiding magistrate of the Social Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice (TSJ) of the Region of Murcia, Mariano Gascón Valero, and the head of the Social Court 3 of Cartagena, José Grau Ripoll, participated yesterday at Isen University Center in the days of study and debate on social jurisprudence ‘Cartago Laboris’. The first provided keys and reflected on “practical issues of appeal”, and the second addressed the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court and the high courts.
Gascón appealed to the lawyers to be careful when drafting the appeal, “which is extraordinary”, in the formal and content aspects; and to the judges, so that their sentences are not only well motivated but also include a section of proven facts “as abundant and detailed as possible”. He also defended that the Chamber makes an effort to argue its resolutions, since “they are not capricious decisions but considered and reasonable; they are born from the constant interpretation of the law and the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court.”
The session was promoted by the Royal Economic Society of Friends of the Country, the Bar Association, the Official Association of Social Graduates of the Region and Isen, an entity attached to the University of Murcia. Law professionals attended, including the director of the City Council’s Legal Department, Francisco Pagán.
