Chocolate lovers are in luck. One of the most anticipated events of the year already has a date: from November 29 to December 8. For ten sweet days, the Portuguese city of Valença will host a new edition of the Chocolate Fortress, one of the few fairs dedicated exclusively to this iconic sweet. Every year, thousands of tourists come from Galicia or other parts of Portugal to get their hands on the best chocolate.
Although at the moment the organization has not revealed the entire program, we can know that its streets will be filled with chocolate-based stalls and will offer different tastings of the most typical sweets of Portuguese and Spanish gastronomy with chocolatiers, twelveiros and pastry chefs. In addition, during these days you can also enjoy showcookings and animations perfect for the little ones.
The Chocolate Fortress It will be distributed in several different pointsbetween Largo do Bom Jesus, in Coroada, Praça da República, Largo do Governo Militar and Baluarte do Faro.
