For some years now, the Xbox brand has tried to stay at the forefront worldwide, which is why they are not only dedicated to finding the best American productions but also from Japan, and that has been much more marked with the friendship they have with SEGA and Atlus. Speaking of the latter, this is where some specific products have come to Game Passlike most of the saga Person, Yakuzaamong other brands that are looking for customers from that region to buy a console.
However, it appears that attempts to Microsoft have not managed to increase the numbers of users, and recently a screenshot of the most tested video games on these devices has been shared and there is nothing more nor less than the next release of Atlus, Metaphor ReFantazio. Which so far does not have a release date, but the release is predicted for autumn 2024 to close the year in an excellent way for the development company.
Metaphor ReFantazio spotted on the Most Played Xbox Games list for the Japan region; test players? If that's the case, it still says a lot about how few people are actually playing on Xbox in Japan 😬https://t.co/3jfexrQ0rL pic.twitter.com/dMNv7hXmx4

This suggests how low the number of users is in Xbox in Japan, enough for a title that is in the testing stage by beta testers to make the title in the highest top, and that leads to the question that the disinterest of companies like Capcom not to launch all your games on these devices. And the path to getting their attention doesn't make any sense unless you PlayStation for some reason it ceased to exist.
Remember that Metaphor Refantazio arrives in autumn for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. day one for Game Pass.

Editor's note: It's a little sad that there's no way Xbox can get off the ground in Japan, and it's true that Microsoft is trying but there's no way to get that ship off the ground. Unless they come to a mega deal to bring a Dragon Quest exclusively to their consoles.
