With the release date of Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance on PC and console which is rapidly approaching, which we remember is set for June 21st, Atlus has published a new trailer focused on the story entitled “The Ultimate Beginning”, which you can view in the player within this news.
The film in particular focuses on Canon of Vengeance, or the alternative story path introduced in the Vengeance re-release and which tells the dramatic story of revenge on the part of the fallen, introducing new characters, such as high school student Yoko Hiromine who seems to have a central role in the narrative, and the she-devils led by Lilith. Players will be free to choose whether to tackle this story straight away or play the original one present in the first version of Shin Megami Tensei 5.
A full-bodied re-release with 160 hours of content
The new story of the Canon of Vengeance, although representing the main course, is not the only novelty of Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance, which on paper presents itself as a really rich reissue.
From the details known so far, we know that compared to the original for Switch, the game will include over 40 new demons, all previously published DLC, new unique abilities for demons, changes to combat to speed them up, the ability to save characters at any time adventure, new explorable areas and more. Atlus estimates that Vengeance will offer double the length of the original game, passing from 80 to 160 hours.
Before leaving you, we remind you that Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance will be available from June 21, 2024 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. With the launch of this re-release, the original Nintendo Switch version will be removed from sale in a few days.
