Ultraman: The Rise tells the story of baseball superstar Ken Sato who returns to his native country, Japan, to assume the mantle of the superhero Ultraman, defender of the Earth. But it won’t be easy at all.
Before long he will find more than he bargained for when he is forced to raise the son of his greatest enemy. He will now be the father of a huge fire-breathing baby kaiju. Leaving aside his ego, he must balance work with fatherhood and protect the 10-meter-tall “little guy” at all costs.
Ultraman: The Rise is a production of Netflix, Tsuburaya Productions and Industrial Light & Magic. With a script by Shannon Tindle and Marc Haimes and direction by Shannon Tindle.
Diplo and Oliver Tree working on Ultraman’s original music. Of course it is based on the characters of Eiji Tsuburaya, one of the creative minds behind Godzilla.
It should be noted that Ultraman is one of the longest-running Japanese tokusatsu productions in history, it began in 1966 and is made up of different series, animated specials, 30 films and more than 50 video game appearances. And you can enjoy the new adventure next June 14 by Netflix.
