The teams and players of Call of Duty League and Activision they reached a new agreement tied to the side's revenues eSports of the shooter. This new agreement will allow players and teams to get more revenuealso adding guarantees.
The new agreement includes the elimination of all outstanding entry fees and refunds to the teams that have paid. In addition to taxes, teams will “get more revenue from the sale of their in-game merchandise,” as well as Champs bundles, increased grants for hosting in-person events and a minimum two-year revenue guarantee.

“Although the popularity of the Call of Duty League continues to grow, as demonstrated by this latest season we have recorded the highest number of spectators in history and record-breaking attendance at our in-person events, we are redoubling our efforts on the business front to ensure the success and longevity of competitive Call of Duty,” said Daniel Tsay, GM of Call of Duty Esports.
“For much of the year we have been working with team owners on a new approach that allows us to achieve mutual success. Today, I'm excited to share details of our updated team deal structure to help ensure the longevity of competitive Call of Duty.”
“Our teams have a fundamental role in shaping the future and, investing more in them with these changes, we hope to continue to advance CDL,” Tsay said.
