The Royal Maestranza de Caballería and the Pagés Company delivered this Tuesday to the brotherhood of Los Gitanos and the Nuevo Futuro del association check with the 133,146.46 euros collected during the celebration of the bullfighting festival on October 20, and which served as a tribute to Curro Romero.
The event was held in the poster hall of the bullring in Seville, and the lieutenant of Hermano Mayor de la Real Maestranza, Santiago Leon Domecq; the president of the Pagés Company Ramon Valencia; the older brother of Los Gitanos, Jose Maria Flores; the president of Nuevo Futuro, Monica Gutierrez; and Cayetano Martínez de IrujoCount of Salvatierra.
The festival, which was scheduled for October 12had to be postponed a week due to rain. Despite this, more than 133,000 euros have been raised thanks to the fact that the square was almost completely filled. The poster that made the Paseíllo on October 20 was made up of Diego Urdiales, Manuel Jesús ‘El Cid’, Daniel Luque, Oliva Soto, Pablo Aguado and the bullfighter Javier Zulueta. They fought horns from the Núñez del Cuvillo, Fuente Ymbro, Zacarías Moreno, El Parralejo, El Vellosino and Jandilla livestock farms.
The benefit of the festival will help the Los Gitanos brotherhood reinforce its work in the South Polygon and for the Nuevo Futuro association to finance the housing that provides young people in care once they reach the age of majority, at which point state aid ends, so that the future of these people is fully guaranteed.
