Lawyer Sergei Badamshin in an interview with the publication “The Secret of the Firm” uncovered consequences for Russia in case of exclusion from Interpol. He called such a decision inappropriate, but refused to make predictions about the reality of its implementation.
The lawyer noted that there would be no extradition in one direction or the other, so the security forces would be “forced to have time to run to the border” if they need to detain the criminal. He added that for those who are hiding from Russian law enforcement agencies, it will be enough “just to cross the border.”

“People who take such an initiative have no idea what the consequences will be. Offenders will not be extradited either from Russia or to Russia,” Badamshin stressed.
The lawyer explained that at present it is difficult to make predictions about the reality of expulsion from Interpol, since now the country is waiting for “something new every time.”
Earlier it became known that the Ukrainian authorities, against the backdrop of the operation in Donbass, wanted to suspend Russia’s membership in Interpol. This was announced by the head of the British Ministry of Internal Affairs Priti Patel, stressing that London supports Kyiv.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special operation in the Donbass.
