Four-day working week in honor of National Unity Day begins in Russia
The last short working week in 2022 has begun in Russia, it will last four days. This is reported RIA News.
As HeadHunter’s lawyer, labor law expert Tatyana Nechaeva recalled in a conversation with the agency, this is due to the fact that on November 4 Russia celebrates the Day of National Unity. Working days will be Monday 31 October, as well as the days from 1 to 3 November. At the same time, the pre-holiday working day – Thursday – will be shortened, its duration will be reduced by an hour.
Nechaeva drew attention to the fact that the presence of non-working holidays is not a basis for reducing wages for employees who receive a salary in accordance with Article 112 of the Labor Code. In addition, work on weekends or non-working holidays should be paid at least double the amount, or in a single amount, but with the provision of an additional day off, the lawyer emphasized. The choice remains with the employee, she noted.
