HBO reported that Catherine O'Hara will join the cast of The Last of Us TV seriesin a role yet to be revealed, confirming rumors that suggested the actress's involvement in the second season.
The first rumors had in fact begun to circulate at the beginning of this week and were subsequently practically confirmed by O'Hara answering questions from someone during the Watch What Happens Live program in which she promoted the recently released film Argylle: Super Spy in cinemas.
Catherine O'Hara is known for starring in Tim Burton's cult Beetlejuice (she will also take part in the sequel out in September), as Kevin McCallister's mother in the Home Alone series, while from 2015 to 2020 she played Moira Rose in Schitt's Creek. Thanks to this last role she won four Canadian Screen Awards, as well as an Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Crit's Choice Awards for best leading actress in a comedy series.
