The Board of Andalusia has assumed the temporary guardianship of Cristian’s twin brotherthe two-year-old boy murdered last Thursday in Linares (Jaén) supposedly by his mother’s partner, and who was buried this Saturday, sources from the regional administration have reported.
They attended Cristian’s funeral the child’s parentsother family members and representatives of the Linares City Council, with the mayor, Auxi del Olmo, at the head.
Meanwhile, the man arrested after the death of the child, who is the mother’s partner, continues at the Police Station waiting to be brought to justice. At the request of the Court handling the case, the Andalusian Government has assumed temporary guardianship of Cristian’s twin brother, who was injured and is admitted to the Linares hospital.
The Family and Women Care Unit (UFAM) of the Police took this Friday statement to mother of Cristian as a victim of gender violence.
The woman, who has three other children from another marriage, two of whom also had guardianship removed, was user of social services municipal services several years ago, although it ended up declining those services. Cristian is the ninth victim of vicarious violence so far this year in Spain and number 62 since there are records, in 2013.
