The seven-day incidence in Germany has decreased again compared to the previous day. 21,080 new corona infections have been reported to the RKI.
Berlin – The nationwide seven-day incidence has decreased compared to the previous day. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Tuesday morning as 215.6.
For comparison: the day before the nationwide incidence was 222.7, a week ago it was 306.4 (previous month: 452.2). The health authorities in Germany reported 21,080 new corona infections to the RKI within one day. This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 5:22 a.m. Exactly a week ago there were 23,428 infections.
The RKI points out that less test and reporting activity can be expected during the holidays and at the turn of the year. Therefore, the officially reported number of cases could only show an incomplete picture of the corona situation in Germany.
372 deaths within 24 hours
According to the new information, 372 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 462 deaths. The RKI has counted 7,026,369 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not recognized.
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was given by the RKI on Monday as 3.26 (Sunday 3.31). The RKI stated the number of people recovered on Tuesday at 6,217,800. The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 110,805. dpa
