Many of the best footballers in the world have passed through the ranks of Real Madrid throughout its more than 100-year history. Some have worn the white shirt after being signed but others were trained in the lower categories of the club.
Today we are going to see which is the best eleven that can be formed with the youth squad of the white team, and over the years the Factory has given many talents.
Possibly Iker Casillas is the best goalkeeper in the history of Real Madrid and that great figures such as Ricardo Zamora, Miguel Ángel, Keyor Navas or at this time Thibaut Courtois have passed through the white goal. But if we talk about homegrown players, Casillas has no rival there.
Miguel Porlán, known as Chendo, occupies the right side. Chendo debuted with the first team in 1982 and defended the white shirt until his retirement in 1998, being one of the few One Club Man of Madrid. He lifted 19 titles.
One of the best defenders that Madrid has had in its entire history. He entered the lower categories of the white team at the age of 12 and is another of the One Clun Man of Madrid history. He was part of the historic Quinta del Buitre and is one of the most successful players with 22 titles.
Gyo Benito’s family moved to Madrid when he was 13 years old and he became part of the Real Madrid youth ranks. Before debuting with the first team he spent two years on loan at Rayo and when he returned he became a fixture in the eleven and a reference defender. He remained at Madrid until his retirement in 1982.
The defense is completed by Jesús Ángel Solana on the left side. Solana was a versatile player, although where he stood out the most was on the left-hand side. He played in the first team between 1986 and 1991 winning eight titles.
Ricardo Gallego began his professional career at Castilla and in 1980 he made his debut with the first team where he stayed for 9 seasons. Gallego stood out playing as a midfielder, although he also played as a libero, putting together great performances.
Another of the members of that mythical Quinta del Buitre. Rafa Martin Vazquez. He trained in the lower categories and went up until he reached the first team at the age of 17. Martín Vázquez spent seven seasons at Madrid and in that time he stood out as one of the most talented midfielders in the club’s history.
We continue with the Quinta del Buitre, this time with Míchel. His first game with the first team was in 1982, although he would not settle definitively until 1984. He came to play 559 games with the white shirt and won 16 titles.
Santiago Bernabéu is known for being the most successful president in the history of Madrid and the one who professionalized the club. But before that, he was a coach and also a player between 1914 and 1927. After three years in the youth team, he made his debut with the first team, where he stood out as a scorer, forming a great duo with René Petit, and that he began playing as a goalkeeper.
One cannot speak of the Quinta del Buitre without mentioning Emilio Butragueño, the leader of that talented generation, perhaps the best that the Madrid youth academy has produced in its entire history. Butragueño became a club legend and a symbol for Real Madrid.
Another symbol of Madridismo. The eternal captain arrived at the white academy from the eternal rival, Atlético de Madrid, and became a true club legend with an enviable record. He defended the white shirt for 16 seasons and to this day he continues to embody and represent the values of the club.
