The governor of the Kaluga region, Vladisla Shapsha, visited the Multifunctional Migration Center in the Borovsky District with an unscheduled check and caught a person trying to get a job with a purchased certificate of knowledge of the Russian language. On February 11, Shapsha announced this in his Instagram account.
“He didn’t understand what I was asking him at all! <...> The first “guest from the south” that came across. He clearly does not speak Russian. But, oh miracle! Certificate of knowledge of the Russian language in hand, ”wrote Shapsha.
The governor said that after this incident, he decided that from February 11, 2022, all documents from migrants who, in fact, do not know Russian, but provide “fake” certificates, will be sent by the migration center to the internal affairs bodies for verification.
At the end of December, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported that from January 1, 2022, for illegal work in Russia, foreign citizens can not only be fined, but also expelled from the country with a ban on re-entry.
The program to promote voluntary resettlement in the Russian Federation of compatriots living abroad was adopted in 2006. The purpose of the state program is to stimulate and organize the process of voluntary resettlement of compatriots, promote the socio-economic development of the regions and solve demographic problems by attracting migrants to permanent residence in the Russian Federation.
