The Minister of Digital Transformation, Óscar López, has announced that the Government will approve this month of February the Ministerial Order for which companies will be prohibited from making commercial calls from mobile phone numbers.
In an interview conducted in RAC1López has assured that, once said ministerial order is approved, “It will be strictly forbidden to be able to make a commercial call with a number other than 800, a 900 or start with a prefix from a Spanish province. ”
The minister explained that this reform will be approved quickly since, being a ministerial order, it should not go through the Council of Ministers or receive parliamentary validation in the Congress of Deputies.
This ministerial order, in accordance with López’s statements collected by EFEwill allow citizens to denounce possible bad practices before the Office of Consumer Attention of Telecommunications and establish sanctions in case of breach of the law.
