Prime Minister Mishustin spoke about measures to support the Russian construction industry
The Russian government has developed a set of measures to support and ensure the stable operation of the construction industry. The details of the project were revealed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the instruction is published on website government.
“In the current conditions, our main task is not to let the construction stop. This is important, first of all, for millions of our citizens who need new houses, apartments, as well as for core business,” Mishustin said.
The prime minister explained that some of the measures outlined will also affect the customs sector – the government plans to simplify the regulation of imports. It is proposed to facilitate the development of urban planning documentation, as well as the procedure for holding public hearings on it. According to the project, it will be faster to provide land plots, and registration of rights to constructed facilities will become easier. The government also wants to ensure the extension of existing land lease agreements if necessary and provide benefits for tenants.
Earlier in March, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin promised to keep an eye on prices in the construction industry. He said that the construction industry in Moscow is 95 percent independent of the external market, and domestic materials are used for the most part at construction sites in the capital.
